Dear Friends of Carmel Books,Today, of course, is not only the glorious Feast of All Saints but also First Friday which presents the opportunity for us all to pay homage and make reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Apart from practicing the First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart itself, with the lively hope of attaining the attendant Promises of Our Lord, we can recommend no better way in which to honour Our Lord Jesus Christ and to make reparation to Him other than to participate in the very worthy apostolate of Sacred Heart Holy Hour Nightly Devotion.
Night adoration in the home consists of giving up an hour of sleep, even just once per month, to pray to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was founded as a means of offering reparation to the Sacred Heart in families for sins committed in and against the home and "to spread and strengthen the Social Reign of the Sacred Heart in the home, the sanctuary of the family; the family, the rock upon which the Church builds the present and future of society".To find out more please visit the website of Sacred Heart Nightly Devotion.
