The Complete Offices of Holy Week

Dear Friends of Carmel Books,

We are very pleased to be able to let you know about the newly republished liturgical gem Holy Week: The Complete Offices in Latin and English, which was compiled following the Pio-Benedictine Roman Missal and Breviary.

Holy Week, by the Right Reverend Abbot Fernand Cabrol, OSB, was first published in Latin and English in 1926. This clear and crisp facsimile reproduction of the Third Edition, published in 1927, carries an Explanatory Introduction by Abbot Cabrol.

Abbot Cabrol (1855-1937) made his Benedictine vows in 1877 at Solesmes, was ordained priest in 1882 and served as prior from 1890. In 1896 he became the first Prior of St. Michael’s at Farnborough, a daughter house of Solesmes Abbey. When St. Michael’s was raised to an Abbey in 1903, Fr. Cabrol was
appointed as its first Abbot. He authored some dozen books on the sacred liturgy and liturgical history.

Holy Week: The Complete Offices in Latin and English is published in a useful pocket-sized (5” x 7”) paperback edition of 392 printed pages — about an inch in thickness — and contains liturgical Offices such as Tenebrae, Lauds, Vespers and Compline.

An initial stock of this treasure of a liturgical book has been ordered from the publisher, and can be pre- ordered from us right now.

Holy Week: The Complete Offices in Latin and English retails at £14.95 plus p&p.
