2014 Calendars: Saints and Feasts for the British Isles and Ireland

The end of the year is fast approaching - already! - and traditional devotional calendars for 2014 are coming on to the market.

We are pleased to be able to support the fund-raising efforts of Britain's only fully-traditional Catholic school, St. Michael's, which is situated just three miles up the road from Carmel Books, in the neighbouring village of Burghclere, Hampshire.

St. Michael's School relies solely for its funding upon the generous sacrifices made by its parents and benefactors. It's only a small school consisting of about 100 pupils and staff yet manages somehow, against all the odds, to provide not only a solid spiritual foundation but also to excel academically. This year it achieved an amazing 96.7% pass rate A*-C in its GCSE results compared to the national average of 63.7%.

For 2014 it has produced two versions of its annual calendar: one featuring Saints and Feasts for the British Isles, the other featuring Saints and Feasts for Ireland.

Both calendars are themed with scenes taken from the life of Our Lady and wonderfully illustrated by children from the junior school.

Pictured on the right are the two covers, part of a Celtic Cross can be seen on the Irish edition, and the narrative pages for the illustrations that are common to both calendars.

Please support traditional Catholic education in this country and consider purchasing the St. Michael School calendar. All of the monies raised through sales of this calendar go to the school to help maintain and ensure the future of true Catholic education
